SBI account holders must follow a one-time registration procedure for SBI SMS banking. They will need to send an SMS in the following manner to register for the SMS Banking services of SBI:
Send a message - 'REG<space>Account Number' to 09223488888.
The account holder needs to send this message from the SBI SMS registration number, i.e., the phone number that is registered with the specific account number. Once the account holder has successfully been registered for SMS banking, then he or she can start using the service.
