From your registered mobile phone number, you must dial either 1800 11 2211 or 1800 425 3800. Press card block or 0 once the call has been connected. Press 2 to enter your SBI card account number. To confirm, hit one again. That's all there is; your credit card has been successfully blocked.

How to Block SBI ATM Cards through SMS?

By sending a text message to the bank - you could also block your SBI debit card. This message is relatively simple and follows a format.

To block your ATM card, you need to send BLOCK XXXX to the number 567676. Here XXXX will stand for the last four digits of your debit card number. Ensure to transmit the SMS from the phone number registered with the bank account.

Once the State Bank of India gets your payment - they will give you a confirmation message. This will include the ticket number, the blocking date, and the time in the SMS. You could check for developments on the SBI official portal with your ticket number.

How to Block the SBI Debit Card through Internet Banking?

The account holder could easily block the SBI ATM card online by utilizing the bank's online services. The following are the steps to secure the SBI ATM card through internet banking:

  1. You need to visit - onlinesbi.com. 
  2. You need to log in to the SBI internet banking portal by giving the username and password information.
  3. Navigate to the e-services tab and click on the ATM card services option.
  4. Choose - block ATM card option.
  5. Select the account that has been linked to the ATM cum debit card that the holder wishes to block.
  6. The account holder would be able to see the list of all the active and blocked cards. The list would display the first and last four digits of the debit card.
  7. The account holder needs to select the card they want to block, give the reason if it is lost or stolen and then click on the option submit. 
  8. Verify the information that is needed and make a confirmation.
  9. Select the request mode, and the account holder can opt for an OTP number or use the profile password.
  10. Enter the OTP or the password as chosen and click on the confirm option.

The account holder will get a ticket number through an SMS alert that will be sent once the SBI ATM Debit card has been blocked. The account holder needs to make sure that they save the ticket number for future references. 

How to Block the SBI ATM Card through Mobile Banking Services?

State Bank of India or SBI account holders could block their cards in the steps that are mentioned below:

  1. You need to log in to the mobile banking of SBI on Android and iOS. 
  2. On the mobile banking application's home screen - choose the services option.
  3. Under the services option - you need to choose the debit card hot listing option to block the SBI ATM card in minutes.
  4. On the following page - the account holder needs to choose the debit account linked with the ATM card they want to block.
  5. On the following menu, the account holder would be asked to choose the debit card that they wish to block through mobile banking.
  6. The account holder will be asked to select the cause for blocking the card, and the holder can only choose two options - lost or stolen.
  7. To validate the card block, the account holder must provide the OTP. After providing this - the card would be blocked.
