SBI mPassbook

The State Bank of India is the largest bank in India and has also launched the feature of an SBI mPassbook for customers. It is a digital variant of the regular SBI passbook and contains details of all the debit and credit transactions done on the savings or current account.

One can access their SBI mpassbook through the online banking account using their customer ID and password. This allows users to access their bank account details at any time without the need to visit the bank branch.

Features of SBI mPassbook

The digital passbook or mpassbook service provided by the State Bank of India has the following features:

  • Easy Access: One can easily access the SBI mpassbook application anytime on their mobile phone and keep track of their transactional data.
  • Download e-statements: The mpassbook application of SBI also allows users to download the last 3-6 months’ account statements online and send them to their registered mail ID.
  • MPIN-based login: It allows users to log in using their MPIN. Thus, there is no need to memorise and remember usernames and passwords.
  • Locate SBI Branches and ATMs: Through mpassbook, one can also locate the nearby SBI branches and ATMs. 
  • View Account Details: SBI customers can also get detailed information about their accounts, such as IFSC code, account number, branch name and transaction details, from the mpassbook.

Details Included in SBI mPassbook Application

Given below are the details that are included in the State Bank of India mpassbook application:

  • Account holder’s name, address, registered phone number
  • SBI account number and customer ID
  • Branch address
  • IFSC Code
  • Transaction details, including debit/credit amount, transaction date, time and transaction ID

How to Download SBI mPassbook?

SBI customers should have a registered phone number linked to the specific bank account in order to access the mpassbook app. Given below are the steps for the SBI mpassbook download:

Step 1: Go to the Play Store or Apple Store for the SBI mPassbook App Download.

Step 2: Open the downloaded application and choose the desired language. The services are available in Hindi and English.

Step 3: Enter the registered mobile phone number now. The user will be given a one-time password; input this OTP on the following screen.

Step 4: Set a 4-digit login pin (MPIN) and tap ‘Start Using Passbook’.

SBI mPassbook Login Process

State Bank of India customers can register for the mpassbook application of SBI using their customer ID. After registration, the customer can log in to the SBI mpassbook online either through SBI mobile banking or through SBI online banking. 

Below are the steps for the State Bank of India mpassbook login:

1) Access SBI mPassbook Online through SBI YONO

Here are the steps that should be followed to access the mpassbook services through SBI YONO:

  • Download the State Bank’s mBanking application on your smartphone from the Play Store or App Store.
  • Once downloaded, launch the app and sign in with your mobile banking PIN or MPIN.
  • Once logged in, check for the ‘mPassbook’ option.
  • Select the account number and click the ‘Continue’ button on the next screen.
  • The user will now be able to access their digital Passbook. The previous transaction data, along with the date and time, will be displayed on the screen.

2) Access SBI mpassbook Offline through SBI Anywhere

State Bank of India also allows users to access the SBI mPassbook offline without the need for internet connectivity. One must enter their online banking username and ‘mPassbook PIN’ to access the mpassbook offline. 

Below are the steps that must be followed:

Step 1: Download the ‘SBI Anywhere’ app. 

Step 2: Open the app and click on the ‘m-Passbook’ link that appears on the login page.

Step 3: You will be prompted to enter your SBI Internet Banking ID and the 4-digit mPassbook PIN.

Step 4: The SBI savings account that is connected to the mpassbook will appear on the screen. 

Step 5: Select the account to view the transaction details.

The SBI mPassbook works in the same way as a traditional passbook. The following are some of the advantages of using SBI's mPassbook service:

  • SBI mPassbook allows you to access your transaction data and history from anywhere. 
  • You don't need to go to the bank to get your physical passbook updated with the most recent information. One can simply log in and sync the information.
  • There are no additional fees that are associated with using SBI mPassbook. All you need is a smartphone and access to the internet. 
  • You can also access it offline using the 'SBI Anywhere’ app.
