SBI mPassbook

The State Bank of India is the largest bank in India and has also launched the feature of an SBI mPassbook for the customer. This feature was established in the year 2014, and among all of the public sector banks in the country, this bank is known to be the bank of the fastest growing pace.

This bank was among the very few banks that had launched this feature in the very beginning, and this post discusses the importance of this feature in detail.

Meaning of SBI mpassbook Online

The mpassbook of SBI is a digital variant of the physical passbook of an SBI bank account. By logging in with their own online banking or internet banking, the customer ID, and password on the SBI mpassbook app, the user can access this passbook.

The data of the transactions done on the savings or current account to whom the passbook belongs is stored in the mPassbook, just as they are in the physical form - but this would be in the digital form.

The offer to see the bank account transactions history at any given time and from any location is an added advantage to the customer of the bank.

As a result of this - the customer is no longer required to visit the bank's branch to get the update on the physical passbook.
