Vehicle-Related Services Offered by RTO Mysore

Here is the list of services offered by the RTO office, Mysore, related to vehicle registration:

1. Registration of Motor Vehicles

Motor vehicle registration is compulsory in every state in order to legally drive it on Indian roads. You need to follow the steps mentioned below to register your motor vehicle with Mysore Regional Transport Office:

  • Visit the RTO office in Mysore with your motor vehicle.
  • Fill out the vehicle registration form. One can also download the form from the Parivahan website.
  • Attach the required documents and submit the application. Pay the registration fee at the counter.
  • Your motor vehicle will be inspected by the RTO officials.

2. National Permit Authorization

Mysore RTO is also responsible for issuing several national permits for all commercial and tourist vehicles. It can issue a national permit for:

  • Stage Carriage

  • All India tourist permit
  • Private services vehicle's permit

3. Renewal of Vehicle Registrations 

A vehicle's registration is valid for 15 years, after which the owner must renew it at the regional transport office.

4. Issue of PUC and Fitness Certificates

  • Mysore Regional Transport Office is also responsible for conducting emission tests for vehicles and providing PUCC (Pollution Under Control Certificate) to vehicles that meet the standard emission level. 
  • It also conducts regular inspections and fitness checks for vehicles to ensure they are fit to be driven on roads.

How to Apply for a Driver’s License in RTO Mysore?

You can apply for a driving license by following the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official Parivahan portal and click on ‘Online services’. 

Step 2: Under online services, choose to ‘apply for a driving license’. 

Step 3: Fill out the driver's license application form and choose a suitable appointment date and time for your driving test. 

Step 4: Attend your test, and on passing the driving test, you will be sanctioned to get a driver's license.
