  • Taxes - Collecting Quarterly Tax, Lifetime Tax, Green Tax, Countersignature Tax, Short Term Tax, Composite Tax, Border Tax, and researching Tax Exemptions.

Registering a Vehicle with AP Regional Transport Office

Based on the Motor Vehicles Act, a vehicle owner in Andhra Pradesh is required to register his vehicle.

Section 39 of the Motor Vehicle Act of 1988 stipulates that no individual may operate his motor vehicle unless it is lawfully registered with the RTO. To register a vehicle in Andhra Pradesh, gather the documents listed below-

  • Form 20: It must be filled out to apply for car registration
  • The vehicle's sales certificate, Form 21, must be presented
  • PUC authorization
  • In the event of an imported automobile, a Customs Clearance Certificate is required
  • Documents proving age and address
  • Certificate of insurance for a vehicle
  • The applicable fee and road taxes must be paid
  • Photographs in passport size
  • Design clearance from the State Transport Minister (SIT) is required for trailer or semi-trailer registration.
  • A temporary registration number

The vehicle registration number is granted after the above-mentioned documents are verified. The registration certificate is issued within a stipulated period after the date the number is issued.

Transfer of Vehicle Ownership in Andhra Pradesh

If a certain vehicle owner is selling his vehicle, they can transfer the ownership (the AP transport RC card) by submitting the documentation listed below-

  • Forms 29 and 30: They are used to apply for vehicle transfers
  • Form 31: It is required in the event of a vehicle transfer owing to inheritance
  • Form 32: It is required in the event of a vehicle transfer by public auction.
  • Original car chassis number imprint
  • An affidavit stating the vehicle's sale and acquisition
  • If the vehicle is transferred from another state, the original registering body must issue a NOC
