Requirements to Make an HDFC Bank NEFT Transaction

To transfer funds using HDFC Bank's NEFT services, a customer will require the following information-

  • Name 
  • Amount 
  • Customer's account number
  • Beneficiary's Bank 
  • IFSC code
  • Account number for self

How to Transfer through HDFC NEFT Pathway?

Step 1: Go to the HDFC internet banking portal and sign in using your username and password. The first point is to ensure that the beneficiary is included.
Step 2: Click on the 'Fund Transfer' button.
Step 3: Click the 'Add Beneficiary' button and enter the type of beneficiary.
Step 4: Select Transfer to another bank'.
Step 5: Enter the payee's (the person to whom the money is being sent) information, such as name, account number, IFSC code, bank name, and branch name.
Step 6: Complete the beneficiary information and click the 'Confirm' button.
Step 7: A confirmation message will be sent to the consumer.

How to Pay Credit Card Bills through HDFC NEFT?

Step 1: Access the HDFC internet banking page by entering your username and password.
Step 2: Select the 'Transfer to Other Bank' option from the 'Fund Transfer' tab.
Step 3: Enter the credit card number instead of the account number, as well as the beneficiary and other information.
Step 4: You must agree to all of the terms and conditions.
Step 5: To finish, click the 'Confirm' button.

Please bear in mind that while paying credit card payments using NEFT, it is always a good idea to keep a few things in mind. The HDFC bank NEFT facility can be used to handle credit card payments. 

To use this service, the consumer must have net banking and third-party fund transfer capabilities enabled. To receive funds via this sort of fund transfer mechanism, the Bank that issued the credit card must be NEFT-enabled. It is also necessary to understand the IFSC code of the Bank that issued the credit card.

How to Add Beneficiary for HDFC NEFT?

Please keep in mind that if you are adding a beneficiary for the first time, it will take at least 30 minutes for the Bank to add the beneficiary.

The following are some of the rules and guidelines for adding beneficiaries-

  • The customer must wait for a specified period of time before initiating an NEFT transfer. Only within the first 24 hours after the beneficiary has been activated can the account holder start a transfer of Rs.50,000. The account holder has 48 hours to make an NEFT transfer with a maximum limit of Rs.1 lakh.
  • Please keep in mind that even if a beneficiary has previously been added and no financial transfers have been made for up to two years, the beneficiary must be added again to commence an NEFT transfer.
  • The maximum number of beneficiaries that can be added within a 24-hour period is 7.

Timings of the HDFC NEFT

Currently, all NEFT transactions can be done between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on RBI working days, with a maximum limit of Rs.50 lakh.

You can also make NEFT transfers on working days and holidays, including the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays, between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., subject to a limit of Rs.2 lakh per beneficiary, depending on the TPT limit.
