HDFC NEFT, IMPS and RTGS Charges

All HDFC Bank customers are eligible for the HDFC NEFT, IMPS and RTGS services provided by the bank. One can use any of these services to transfer funds from one bank account to another. The HDFC NEFT, IMPS and RTGS charges levied on these transactions vary according to the transaction amount and mode.

HDFC NEFT Charges 2024

HDFC Bank does not imply any charges or fees on NEFT transactions if done online through mobile banking or internet banking. It is completely free. However, certain charges are levied on NEFT transactions made through the HDFC Bank branches.

HDFC NEFT Timings and Limits

The HDFC Bank NEFT services are now available 24/7 throughout the year for online transfer. However, certain conditions are imposed on the transaction limit based on the HDFC timings. 

Given below are the NEFT limits for HDFC Bank based on the timings:

Note: HDFC bank allows customers to transfer a maximum amount of Rs. 50,000 for newly added beneficiaries during the first 24 hours.

How to Transfer Funds Using HDFC NEFT?

There are mainly two processes to transfer funds through HDFC Bank NEFT services, i.e., either through online mode or offline through the bank branch.

Online Process for HDFC NEFT Fund Transfer

HDFC allows customers to make NEFT fund transfers online using internet banking. One who has an active online banking account can make an HDFC Bank NEFT transfer by following the steps mentioned below:

  • Step 1: Go to the HDFC internet banking portal and sign in using your username and password. 
  • Step 2: Click on the 'Fund Transfer' button and choose ‘NEFT’.
  • Step 3: Click the 'Add Beneficiary' button and enter the type of beneficiary.
  • Step 4: Select ‘Transfer to another bank'.
  • Step 5: Enter the payee's (the person to whom the money is being sent) information, such as name, account number, IFSC code, bank name, and branch name.
  • Step 6: Complete the beneficiary information and click the 'Confirm' button.
  • Step 7: A confirmation message will be sent to the consumer after a successful fund transfer.

Offline Process for HDFC NEFT Fund Transfer

One can do the NEFT transactions offline in HDFC Bank through the bank branch by following the steps provided below:

  •  Fill out the HDFC Bank NEFT form and provide the beneficiary details. 
  •  Enter all the details and submit the form at the counter.
  • The bank executive will provide a receipt to the user once the NEFT transfer is successful.
  • A confirmation notification or message will be sent to the mobile number specified in the NEFT form.

How to Pay Credit Card Bills Using HDFC NEFT Services?

Customers with active HDFC internet banking accounts can also pay their credit card bills through the NEFT services of HDFC Bank. Here are the steps that need to be followed:

  • Step 1: Go to the HDFC internet banking portal. Log in by entering your username and password.
  • Step 2: Select the 'Transfer to Other Bank' option from the 'Fund Transfer' tab.
  • Step 3: Enter the credit card number instead of the account number, as well as the beneficiary and other information.
  • Step 4: You must agree to all of the terms and conditions.
  • Step 5: To finish, click the 'Confirm' button.

HDFC IMPS Charges 2024

HDFC Bank IMPS service is an online method to transfer funds from one bank account to another bank account. The service is available 24x7 and can be availed using the internet and mobile banking.

How to Transfer Funds through HDFC Bank IMPS Services?

Customers of HDFC Bank can transfer money from one bank to another account through IMPS by using any of the following methods:

  • Through HDFC Internet Banking
  • Through the HDFC Mobile Banking app

1) IMPS Fund Transfer through HDFC Net Banking

Here are the steps that must be followed to make an HDFC Bank IMPS transaction using online banking:

  • Log into HDFC online banking using your username and password.
  • Go to ‘Funds Transfer’ and choose ‘IMPS’.
  • Provide beneficiary details, which include the MMID and mobile number, the IFSC Code and the beneficiary account number.
  • Click on submit.
  • Enter the transaction amount and the ‘Transaction PIN’ to process the transaction.
  • Submit the OTP to complete the transaction.

2) IMPS Fund Transfer through HDFC Mobile Banking Application

Below are the steps that must be followed to make an HDFC IMPS transaction using mobile banking:

  • Download the HDFC mobile application on your phone.
  • Log in using your MPIN and password.
  • On the home page, click the ‘Fund Transfer’ option
  • Now, select ‘Other Bank using IMPS’.
  •  Click ‘Using IFSC/AC No.’ to transfer funds through the IFSC code.
  •  Select the beneficiary to whom funds are to be transferred.
  •  Enter the amount and confirm the transaction.
  • Enter the OTP received on your registered phone number to complete the transaction.
  • The bank will send a confirmation via SMS and email once the fund has been transferred.

HDFC RTGS Services

HDFC customers can also transfer money through the HDFC RTGS services. This has helped customers with immediate fund transfers from one HDFC bank account to another bank account.

Customers can transfer funds using the RTGS either through online mode using net banking or offline through the bank branch.
