Banks, according to the RBI, are on leave on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. But, they will work on the 1st, 3rd, and the 5th Saturday of every month. They are also considered at the same time as the weekday working of the bank.
Banks will not shut for business during lunch hours. The clients can visit the bank at any time during the day to make business transactions.
The employees will take their lunch break in batches, and because of this, the business will not be affected in any way. They will usually take their break from 1 to 3 p.m. in the afternoon. But, this can vary from one bank to another.
Banks will remain closed on public and government holidays. Apart from the holidays, each state will have a separate list of Indian bank holidays that are followed. You could also have access to the holidays of the bank through the calendar of the banks.
a) The NEFT working hours are determined by RBI; NEFT has been made available for 24 hours and seven days a week to all of the customers.
