The Bhamashah Yojana transfers the benefits of financial and non-financial government schemes to women in a simple and transparent manner. Through their bank accounts, eligible beneficiaries of the Bhamashah Yojana receive comprehensive financial and non-financial benefits and services.
After opening a bank account, the beneficiary receives the Bhamashah Yojana card in 2-3 months. When it was first introduced in 2008, approximately 50 lakh women applied for it, and approximately 29 lakh accounts were opened to provide benefits from various schemes via the Bhamashah Yojana card.
