Bhamashah Yojana Overview

The Rajasthan government launched the Bhamashah Yojana with the goal of empowering and integrating women into the financial system. This yojana aims to provide financial independence to women in the state. This yojana is regarded as the state of Rajasthan’s first step toward digitalization. The Bhamashah Yojana transfers the benefits of financial and non-financial government schemes to women in a simple and transparent manner. Through their bank accounts, eligible beneficiaries of the Bhamashah Yojana receive comprehensive financial and non-financial benefits and services.

After opening a bank account, the beneficiary receives the Bhamashah Yojana card in 2-3 months. When it was first introduced in 2008, approximately 50 lakh women applied for it, and approximately 29 lakh accounts were opened to provide benefits from various schemes via the Bhamashah Yojana card.

Bhamashah Card 

The Bhamashah card is given to eligible applicants in the name of women under this yojana. The Bhamashah Yojana card is linked to the female beneficiary’s bank account. When the Bhamashah card is ready, applicants will be notified via their registered mobile number. All family members of women who have a Bhamashah Yojana card can use the card to access the benefits of this scheme. It offers women core banking functions as well as biometric identification.

This yojana provides multiple cash benefits to women by directly transferring funds to their bank accounts. Under this scheme, eligible students are also issued the Bhamashah card, which allows them to receive scholarship benefits.

Objectives of the Bhamashah Yojana 2021

The Rajasthan Bhamashah Yojana, which was launched with the goal of financial inclusion and empowerment of women, was initially launched in 2008 when approximately 50 lakh women applied and only 29 lakh accounts could be opened at the time. Through the Bhamashah Card Yojana, the project aims to provide women with financial independence as well as the benefits of various other schemes.

The Bhamashah card provided by this yojana is linked to a bank account in the name of the housewife. The card also provides women with biometric identification and core banking functions, as well as a variety of cash benefits that are directly transferred to their bank account.

Eligibility To be eligible for the Bhamashah Yojana, the following requirements must be met:
  • Children must be registered in government schools and colleges in order to be admitted to academic institutions for the purpose of preparing for coaching examinations.
  • Adults looking for financial assistance to start a company.
  • Women battling for their identity and attempting to position themselves as leaders.
  • Patients seeking treatment for medical conditions require financial support for procedures.
Documents Required When applying for a Bhamashah card online, the following papers must be submitted:
  • An application copy
  • caste certificate
  • Birth certificate
  • ID Proof – Aadhaar or Ration
  • Experience letter for businesses

Bhamashah Card Apply Online

If there are any modifications to the Bhamashah card, candidates can go to the official website and make the adjustments themselves. The following information may be changed on the Bhamashah web portal:

  • The addition of a new family member.
  • Any member of the family’s wedding.
  • A family member has died.
  • The residence address has been changed.
  • Changes in important data, such as a bank account.

The applicant will, however, need to utilize her SSO ID for Bhamashah online editing.

Bhamashah Card Apply Offline

Process of Applying Offline:

To apply for the scheme offline, applicants can go to the state government’s ward camps, which are held in all village panchayats in both rural and urban regions.
