Other Axis Bank Charges on Personal Loans

Before opting to borrow from a specific financial institution, you should consider various expenses in addition to the personal loan interest of Axis Bank-

  • Processing Fee: The processing charge is non-refundable. It is collected by the bank at the start of the loan disbursement or as part of the EMI. The processing fee is 1.75% of the principal amount plus applicable taxes.

  • Foreclosure Charges: After paying the first EMI, you can completely pay off the outstanding balance. Preclosure is permitted when the first EMI is paid, and there are no fees associated with it. When you have the extra money in hand - you can save money on your loan by foreclosing.

  • Part Payment Charges: After paying the first EMI, you can prepay a portion of the outstanding balance. A reduction in the principal amount will also result in a reduction in the interest payment. There are no fees for part payment.

  • Additional Fees: Once the loan is approved, the bank will offer a statement of charges as well as the applicable rate of interest. Some of the fees are for loan cancellation, EMI cheque bounce, late payment, and so on.
