Wealth Company Mutual Fund, India’s first woman-led AMC, is the asset management arm of the Pantomath Group, a SEBI-registered investment management firm, known for its deep expertise in merchant banking, private equity, and capital markets.
The company received final approval and a Certificate of Registration from SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) on July 18, 2025, to commence operations as a registered Asset Management Company.
The mutual fund house launched its debut offerings on September 24, 2025, with four New Fund Offers (NFOs): the Flexi Cap Fund, Arbitrage Fund, Ethical Fund, and Liquid Fund. Notably, The Wealth Company Mutual Fund also became the first AMC in India to launch NFOs on the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC).
The AMC aims to democratise wealth creation for retail investors across the country with a strong focus on Tier-3 and beyond markets.
Ms Aparna Shanker: Aparna Shanker has over 32 years of experience in the mutual fund industry. She holds an MBA in Finance, a Postgraduate Diploma in Treasury and Forex Management, a B.Sc., and an LLB. For 13 years, Aparna has worked as a fund manager at SBI Mutual Fund. Her rich career also includes roles at Unit Trust of India, Birla Global Finance, and Sahara Mutual Fund.
Mr Umesh Sharma: Umesh Sharma is holding professional qualifications as a Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He brings over 20 years of experience in equity research and portfolio management.
Mr Sharma spent the past 14 years at Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund. Prior to that, he had held key positions with leading asset management firms including Invesco Mutual Fund, ICICI Bank, JM Financial Mutual Fund, and UTI Mutual Fund.
Mr Varun Nanavati: Varun Nanavati specialises in equity, credit and financial research. From 2022 to 2025, he was involved in credit rating large corporate groups at Crisil Ratings Ltd. Prior to this, he worked with Citi from 2021 to 2022, focusing on credit ratings for large corporate groups across the EMEA region. Between 2018 and 2021, Mr Nanavati honed his expertise in internal and risk audit at KPMG India.
