Central Bank customers, after opening a current or savings account, are asked to generate a 4-digit ATM PIN or debit card PIN for security purposes. For Central Bank ATM Pin generation, users can use any of the following methods that are mentioned below:
Customers who do not have access to online or internet banking have the option of generating a new ATM PIN at any Central Bank ATM. Given below are the steps to activate Central Bank debit card PIN/ATM PIN through ATM:
Step 1: Go to any Central Bank ATM.
Step 2: Swipe your card and select the ‘PIN Generation’ option.
Step 3: Click on "Create/Change PIN" from the other options, such as withdrawal, check balance, and so on.
Step 4: The bank will send an OTP to the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on the "Proceed" button.
Step 5: Create a 4-digit ATM PIN/debit card PIN.
Step 6: Re-enter the PIN for confirmation.
Step 7: Press the "submit" button.
The bank will send a notification to your registered mobile number after successful PIN generation.
Customers of Central Bank can also activate CBI debit card PIN using the online banking service. Central Bank of India ATM PIN generate through online by following the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Log in to your CBI online banking account by entering your username and password.
Step 2: On the online banking main page, click "My Card PIN" in the upper-left corner.
Step 3: The user will be redirected to the next page. Under the "Debit Card PIN" option, click on "Create PIN."
Step 4: Select the account associated with the debit card for which you want to change the PIN. Input the CVV number of the debit card.
Step 5: Confirm your registered mobile number by clicking the "Submit" button.
Step 6: Next, enter the OTP (One-time password) that is sent to your registered mobile number.
Step 7: Create a new ATM/Debit Card PIN and re-enter it as a confirmation.
Step 8: Click the "Generate Now" button.
The bank will send a notification on your registered number after the CBI ATM Pin generate process.
Customers can also use the Central Bank Mobile App to activate their Central Bank ATM/debit card. To do this, they need to generate a 4-digit PIN for Central Bank ATM Card/Debit Card using the mobile banking application and follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Open your mobile application of CBI and sign in with your user ID and password.
Step 2: On the main page of the CBI mobile banking, click on "Services" at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Select "Card Services" from the list of options under ‘Services’.
Step 4: Next, click the "Create Debit Card PIN" button.
Step 5: Select the account number associated with the debit card, as well as the debit card number.
Step 6: Enter the CVV number for that specific debit card, followed by your new PIN. Re-enter the new PIN for confirmation.
Step 7: Click "Submit" to finish the PIN generation process. The bank will also notify the user after completion of the process.
