BOB customers can use the BOB SMS Banking services to access several banking services provided by the bank. These services include - checking account balances, obtaining a mini statement, verifying the status of a cheque, receiving OTPs for online transactions, and so on.
When an SMS is sent from a registered mobile number through SMS Banking, the system checks to see if the last four numbers of the bank account indicated in the message match the customer's bank account. If the final four numbers match, the message will be responded to the customer's registered mobile number. However, no response will be issued if the last four numbers do not match.

The SMS Banking service supplied by Bank of Baroda has a variety of advantages and distinguishing features-
Bank of Baroda SMS Banking is a basic and easy-to-use banking solution for information-based banking services such as Balance Enquiry and Mini Statement. Customers who already have their mobile number registered with the bank can use this service; no additional registration is necessary.
There are varied services offered by the Bank of Baroda SMS Banking, and they are-
Send an SMS to 8422009988 with the text "BALspace > Last 4-digit account number."
For instance, if your account number is 17610400000811, enter BAL 0811.
Within a minute of sending this SMS from your registered cellphone number, you will receive an account balance notice.
Send "MINIspace > Last 4-digit Account number" to 8422009988; for example, if the account number is 17610400000811, type: MINI 0811.
After sending this SMS, you will receive a small statement alert on your registered mobile number.
When the application gets a request from a customer, it will retrieve the account numbers in which the sender's mobile phone is registered, and if the last four digits of such accounts match the last four digits received in the message, the response to the request will be sent back to the sender's number.
If the last four digits of the account number do not match the four digits submitted by the client, an appropriate error message will be sent back to the sender's registered cellphone number. If the sender's mobile phone number is not registered, no answer will be delivered.
