What Do You Need Before You Start?
Keep these handy so the process takes just a few minutes:
➡️ Your phone, with the mobile number linked to your Axis Bank account, to receive OTPs.
➡️ Your PAN details. You'll need to confirm that your name and date of birth match your PAN, and tell us your source of funds.
➡️ Your Axis Bank Customer ID and net banking password, if you choose to verify with net banking.
➡️ Your Axis debit card, if you choose to verify with your card. You'll need the last 4 digits, expiry date and PIN.
How to Add Money to US Stocks Using Axis Bank
Step 1: Start on Groww
- Open the Groww app and go to the "You" section.
- Tap "Add money" next to your US Stocks balance.
- Enter the amount you want to add and select your Axis Bank account.
- On the "Complete Bank Details" screen, check your Axis Bank account number and choose your source of funds: Salaried, Self-e Employed, Rent Income or Sale Of Property.
- Check that your name and date of birth match your PAN. Read the declaration under FEMA 1999, tick the consent box and tap "Continue".
- On the "Review Transaction Details" screen, check the details of your transaction and tap "Continue".
- Enter the OTP sent to the mobile number linked to your bank account and tap "Proceed now".
What Happens After You Pay?
Back on Groww, the "USD deposit status" page shows whether your payment went through, along with a timeline and the amount and bank account used. You can also copy your transaction ID from here if you need it later.
You'll also receive a confirmation your email, whether your payment is successful or has failed. If a payment fails, for example because the journey wasn't completed, you can simply head back to Add money and try again.
