This is because all the income tax information of an individual is connected to the 10-digit alphanumeric PAN number. The Government of India has made it necessary for all taxpayers to have a PAN card to file taxes.

UTI Infrastructure Technology And Services Limited (UTIITSL) is a government-owned firm in India that provides financial services. The firm provides services like mutual fund distribution, medical bill processing (CGHS, ECHS, etc.), and more on behalf of the Income Tax Department.
