Salem is known to be the hub for steel and handloom industries in Tamil Nadu. Due to this industrial development, there has also been a rapid growth in new vehicle registrations. To cater to these vehicle-related services, the government has set up three major RTOs in Salem. RTO Salem operates with the codes TN54, TN90, and TN30 and caters to all kinds of needs of the citizens of the region.
These RTOs also enforce the rules and regulations of the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988. You can find everything you need to know about the Salem RTOs in this post.
Latest Update Beginning June 1, 2024, any eligible person can take the driving test from any private driving training centres instead of the RTOs. However, the application process should be done online via Parivahan website or through the RTO. |
