Tata Steel share prices have closed at ₹154.84 on 2nd April, which is 0.54% higher than the opening price of ₹154 today. Incidentally, this was more than the opening price of ₹153.12 on 1st April (higher by 0.57%). The 1st April opening price stood at ₹152.07, and it was less than the closing price of ₹154.24 on 28th March. At the same time, the opening price for the date was ₹155.38 as compared to the 27th March closing price of ₹155.42. With its equity stake acquisition in IFQM making headlines, the stock will be in firm focus over the next few days.
The midday share prices were ₹154.0,3 and this was 0.01% more than the opening price today. It did plunge to ₹152.42 after an initial surge, and then the peak came at ₹156.09 before the midday figure was achieved with a slight downward slide.
Tata Steel share prices were at ₹154.03 by midday, which is only marginally higher than the opening price of ₹154 for 2nd April (by 0.01%). This comes as comforting news for investors, particularly since the stock slumped considerably after opening 0.57% higher than yesterday’s closing price. It came all the way down to ₹152.42 after an initial roller-coaster ride and then peaked at ₹156.09 and later on, while mostly showing positive movements, came down to the midday figure.
It remains to be seen whether the share prices can close near or above the opening price today, with the company making headlines for its acquisition of an equity stake in IFQM.
