Tata Power has had a relatively good day in comparison to several other stocks, opening unchanged from yesterday’s closing price of 359.70. Even though the latter was lower than yesterday’s opening price of 360.15, it did open higher than the closing on 8th April. At midday, however, the stock seemed to have gained from positive sentiments around its new 100 MW battery storage project in Mumbai and the approval of the same by the MERC.

Midday figures stood at 362.45, which indicated a growth of 0.76% in comparison to the opening price. There was a fall to 354.67 and a peak at 362.43 before the midday figures were achieved. The share prices have now closed at 358.25, which is 0.40% lower than the opening price and indicates a reversal of the midday trend.

9th April, 2025 / 12:30 PM

Tata Power share prices opened today at 359.70, which was the same as the closing price yesterday. At the same time, they are trading at 362.45 by midday, indicating growth of 0.76% over the opening price. This may indicate positive sentiments of investors since the company has recently obtained MERC approval for its vital 100 MW battery storage project in Mumbai.

There was a sharp plunge initially and the prices came down to 354.67 and then they went up to 362.43 before touching the midday figures. The closing price was about 0.15% lower than the opening price on 8th April and the midday trends have come as a welcome signal for investors as a result.

9th April, 2025 / 9:30 AM

In an interesting development, opening Tata Power share prices today (9th April) have remained unchanged from yesterday’s (8th April) closing price of 359.70. Incidentally, the latter was 0.15% lower than the opening price of 360.15 for the day and the latter also opened 0.96% higher than the closing figures on 7th April. So, after a downward slump yesterday, Tata Power seems to have remained steady at opening without any major dip.

This could be due to the impact of the recent MERC approval for its 100 MW battery storage project in Mumbai that will give a much-needed fillip to the city’s critical infrastructure. Let us wait and watch to see how the prices play out by midday.
