Share prices of Tata Power reached ₹378 at closing today (2nd April), which is 0.86% higher than the opening price of ₹374.75, which was also the same as yesterday’s (1st April) closing price. The opening price on 1st April stood at ₹372.45, and it was lower than the closing price of ₹375.40 on 28th March. Incidentally, the prices were ₹384.05 on 28th March, which was more than the closing price of ₹383.40 on 27th March. The company has been in the news for its shifting focus toward thermal energy and capacity expansion in the category.
However, at midday today, the share prices were ₹375.6,0, and this was about 0.22% more than the opening prices. The stock saw a fall right after trading, touching a low of ₹368.98, and then it recovered and touched a peak of ₹376.43 before reaching the midday prices.
Tata Power share prices reached ₹375.60 by midday, 0.22% higher than the opening price of ₹374.75 today. The stock initially fell after trading commenced, sharply coming down to ₹368.98 before recovering and mostly showing an upward growth curve. It did touch a high of ₹376.43 before plunging a little to the midday figure mentioned earlier.
Will the stock prices maintain the growth momentum until the market closes? That is what remains to be seen, especially with the company now focusing more on thermal energy and the expansion of its capacity in the segment. This may well impact stock prices going forward.
In a unique development, share prices of Tata Power have opened at ₹374.75 which is absolutely unchanged from the closing price of ₹374.75 on 1st April. Share prices opened at ₹372.45 on 1st April, while the closing price on 28th March stood at ₹375.40. At the same time, prices stood at ₹384.05 on 28th March at opening, which was higher than the closing price of ₹383.40 on 27th March. The stock has thus shown a mixed bag of trends and opened unchanged today after opening below its closing price yesterday.
Tata Power shares will continue being in focus after news emerged about its gradual shift towards thermal energy and future aspirations regarding thermal power capacity expansion. It has also earned the prestigious NCVET recognition for uplifting skill development in the green energy segment.
