Stocks to Watch Today, 7th March 2025: TCS, Bajaj Finserv, Kalpataru, Rail Vikas Nigam, and more

The Indian stock market is buzzing as several companies from various sectors have made important announcements. The former include everything from contract wins and collaborations to investment plans and strategic developments — all of which, taken together tell a dynamic story of the current economic landscape.

Key Stocks in Focus

Tata Consultancy Services: TCS has furthered its partnership with Northern Trust, one of the largest financial institutions with $17.4 trillion in assets under management. TCS will deploy its BaNCS Global Securities Platform to optimise custody operations across 99 markets. This deal gives a good driving force that IT solutions are still needed in the financial services sector.

Bajaj Finserv: Bajaj Finserv's insurance arms releasing positive numbers for February 2025. In February, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance soared its gross direct premium collection to ₹1,219 crore, bringing its fiscal year to date total to ₹20,006 crore. However, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance also reported ₹1,080.33 crore as new business premium garnered in October, with total collection touching ₹10,469.77 crore.

Kalpataru: Kalpataru Projects International -- Fresh orders worth ₹2,306 crore. These include international transmission and distribution (T&D) projects as well as new work contracts in India for buildings. With this, the company’s order book now totals ₹22,500 crore. 

Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd: RVNL has snagged a contract Rs 156.36 crore from South Western Railway for electrification and upgrading of infrastructure. Meanwhile, RITES has also recently secured a contract worth ₹27.96 crore for inter-route surveys of the Hyderabad-Bengaluru and Hyderabad-Chennai high-speed rail corridors, to be carried out using state-of-the-art LiDAR technology. 

Power Grid: Power Grid Corporation of India has emerged as the successful bidder to set up an inter-state transmission system in Andhra Pradesh.

Biocon: Biocon Biologics part of Biocon, forms a partnership with Civica Inc, a US-based non-profit pharmaceutical firm, to deliver inexpensive insulin as part on US soil. This strategic decision is expected to strengthen Biocon's foothold in the US marker. 

Laurus Labs: Laurus Labs will invest ₹833 crore into its joint venture with Slovenia’s KRKA Pharma, that joint venture will also invest ₹867 crore, which would keep the two ownership structure unchanged.

Brigade Enterprise: Real estate developer Brigade Enterprises has announced the launch of its premium residential project Brigade Altius in Chennai’s IT hub. Spread across 6.5 acres and three 43-floor towers, the project holds potential revenue worth ₹1,700 crore.

Bharat Electronics Ltd: BEL received new defence orders in the amount of ₹577 crore (its third order). 

63 Moons: A settlement has been reached between technology firm 63 Moons and the investors of the National Spot Exchange in the 2013 payments crisis, worth ₹1,950 crore.
