Indian share markets set to open lower despite mixed trading session across Asian bourses. The GIFT Nifty was down 46 points at 22,604 at 7:30 AM IST, signalling a negative start for the markets. Further complicating the international economic picture is China’s recent announcement that it will retaliate with tariffs on some Canadian agricultural goods, following Ottawa’s decision to impose import duties on Chinese-made electric vehicles, steel and aluminium.
