NTPC Signs MoUs with Govt. of MP to Invest Over ₹2 Lakh Crore
During the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal, which took place on February 24th and 25th of 2025, NTPC Limited and its subsidiary NTPC Green Energy Ltd signed various Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with the Government of Madhya Pradesh. The agreements contain renewable energy agreements focusing on solar power, wind power, pump hydro, and other carbon-neutral energy sources operating in Madhya Pradesh.
Senior officials, including Dr. Mohan Yadav as the Hon’ble Chief Minister of MP and Shri Gurdeep Singh as CMD of NTPC Ltd, signed these MoUs. The pacts will support sustainable energy initiatives as they help the Government of India achieve its energy transition and Net Zero objectives.
NTPC Ltd operates as India's leading power generation company, producing 77 GW of electricity capacity while constructing 29.5 GW including 9.6 GW of renewable energy capacity. The share price of NTPC Ltd stood at ₹316.85 per share on the NSE during trading on February 25th 2025 with an opening market price decline of 1.02 percent from the previous session. NTPC Ltd achieved its highest stock value at ₹448.30 during September 30, 2024 which became the benchmark for its year-long performance before its price reached its lowest point at ₹292.70 on February 17, 2025.
