NHPC share prices have closed at ₹83.60, which is 1.70% higher than the opening price of ₹82.20 today (2nd April). Interestingly, the opening price for the day was higher than the closing price of ₹82.14 on 1st April by 0.07%. At the same time, the opening price of ₹82.08 on 1st April was also lower than the closing price of ₹82.20 on 28th March. Opening prices were ₹86.94 on 28th March, and this was quite higher than the closing price of ₹81.28 on 27th March.

The stock prices slumped after the initial trading session to ₹80.89 before rising to ₹83.56 and then dropping to the midday figure. Investors are buoyant about the stock’s prospects after it opened slightly higher than the closing price today.
NHPC has been making headlines for its mega Parbati-II hydroelectric project with a capacity of 800 MW and it has also started commercial supply operations of 600 MW from the units in question. It also has a solar power project in Bikaner that has also been linked to the ISTS recently. It remains to be seen how the prices move by the end of the trading day.

This augurs well for the stock, which also opened at ₹82.08 on 1st April after closing at ₹82.20 on 28th March. At the same time, it also opened at a high of ₹86.94 on 28th March, which was sizably higher than the closing price of ₹81.28 on 27th March.
