Incorporated in 1998, Hero Motors Limited is an automotive technology company that develops and manufactures advanced powertrain solutions for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across India, the United States, Europe, and the ASEAN region. The company provides end-to-end capabilities spanning product design, prototyping, testing, validation, and large-scale manufacturing for both electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. Its products cater to segments including two-wheelers, hybrid and electric passenger vehicles, performance and off-road vehicles, e-bikes, heavy-duty mobility, and aerospace applications.
Hero Motors operates through two business verticals: Powertrain Solutions and Alloys & Metallics (A&M). The Powertrain Solutions segment manufactures gears, transmissions, CVTs, EV transmissions, electric motors, integrated drive units, and other precision drivetrain components for automotive and mobility applications, while its Bike Powertrain business serves global e-bike manufacturers. The company is also the only Indian manufacturer exporting CVT hubs and integrated electric powertrain products for international e-bike OEMs from India.
