BPCL Posts 8% Dip in Q4 Profit Amidst Revenue Decline

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a prominent oil market company (OMC) and public sector undertaking (PSU), reported a notable decline in its consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25, coupled with a dip in revenue from operations. 

Financial Performance Overview

For the March 2025 quarter, BPCL posted a consolidated net profit of ₹4,392 crore. This figure represents an 8% decline compared to the same quarter last year, when the consolidated net profit stood at ₹4,789.57 crore.

The company also saw its revenue from operations decrease during the quarter under review. Revenue stood at ₹1,26,916 crore for Q4 FY25, marking a 4% year-on-year dip from the ₹1,32,087 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the financial year 2023-24. On a standalone basis, BPCL's profit for the fourth quarter of FY25 was reported at ₹3,214.06 crore.

Final Dividend Recommendation

Alongside the financial results, the PSU announced a final dividend recommendation. The Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of ₹5 per equity share. This dividend is proposed on equity shares with a face value of ₹10 each.

The recommended final dividend is subject to the approval of the shareholders at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). If approved, the dividend is scheduled to be paid within 30 days from the date of its declaration at the AGM. The company stated that the record date for this final dividend will be intimated separately.
