Hello,
2024 was similar to previous years but also very different.
Similar, because we continued our focus on shipping products that customers love. And we kept growwing along with our customers.
Some of our product launches were great successes while we also had our share of failures. It was also very different. In one way, the year 2024 was a defining moment in our history. It reminded me of the early days of 2016 when we started. It felt like we had started with the same startup energy but with a huge base of investors and their wealth and their trust in us.
We are forever grateful to our customers for the continued growth over all these years. Here are some of the important updates and milestones. (I am not repeating some of the updates that we have covered in our last quarterly updates, you can also access them here - for those of you who don't know, we have been disciplined about sharing regular updates since we started Groww).
We completed a very long restructuring exercise to move Groww back to India. For all practical purposes, we were an Indian company. But with this move in March early this year, we have officially become an Indian company.
We achieved an important milestone in Mutual Funds, our first product. Till last year we were the number one player in terms of the number of SIPs that happened in India. This year we also became number one in terms of SIP amount, more popularly known as SIP book. Roughly 1 out of every 4 new SIPs in India happen on Groww. Based on heavy demand from customers, we also launched Stocks and ETF SIP. Customers can choose to do monthly or weekly SIP in any stock or ETF.

We shipped out instant withdrawals for all investors. This gives you access to your money when you need it. It is applicable for amounts less than Rs 1 lakh and is available during working hours. For the rest of the cases, normal withdrawal works like before.
The P&L viewer is now available on the app and web for all customers (that means you don't need to download a report every day).
Iceberg Orders: Any cash orders that cross the per-order value limit will now automatically be split on our end. This helps high-value orders.
We improved the IPO experience even further – IPO mandates can be provided within the app itself.
A lot of our users had running SIPs, however, they were not able to set an Autopay mandate for some reason. So we launched the ‘UPI Autopay with Rs 1’ — users with existing SIPs can also now set up Autopay. This increases the success rate of Autopay (and increases ease for customers significantly).
We launched more ETFs to our existing list of products. Our purpose with our AMC is to provide customers with the choice to invest in products to build long-term wealth. In 2024, we launched 9 products including funds and ETFs.
We made a lot of changes in the F&O trading experience.
We continue, with our focus, on making responsible tools that help traders make the right decisions. If you recall, earlier we had launched Safe Exit, Safe Guard, and Anti Nudges.
In this update, we launched more tools:
In addition to these, we improved the trading experience:

In our last update, we talked about MTF (Margin Trade Facility). This time we upgraded the ledger experience for MTF, helping users manage their positions better. We also launched AMOs in Intraday. Customers will be able to place AMO Intraday orders soon. We will also have pre-open session handling for Intraday.
We are making our charts better. Now customers will be able to exit and manage their intraday and FnO positions directly from the trading terminal.
In 2020, we launched AIKG, which gave us an opportunity to visit 175+ cities across India. We got a lot of love from customers. We feel that AIKG contributed significantly to our growth. Now, we are taking another step. While in AIKG, we went out and met customers; now, we are inviting customers to visit our office. We call this Inside Groww. This will increase transparency even further and enable customers to know how Groww works from the inside. Plus it lets our customers give us their valuable feedback. Most of our product roadmap is driven by what customers want. Customers will attend meetings, talk to our team members, and basically experience the day we live while building Groww. We started this a few months back, and so far, customers are loving it.

Now for some fun stuff. We went live with Celebrations (visible in the profile section): If it's your birthday, Groww anniversary or you've reached an SIP milestone, you're in for some delight.
We also started with quarterly reports in Stories on our app. Dedicated space for new feature announcement: you can now get brief info about what we've launched and what the utility of the newly launched feature is, in one space. Many of you would have noticed the year-end flashback on the app. Our customers love the feature.
