Sharp India Limited, established in 1985, operates in the consumer electronics sector, primarily manufacturing and selling televisions and air conditioners. The management believes the company can continue its operations in the future mainly because of the continued support from its holding company. Besides manufacturing, the company also provides feasibility study services to other group companies located within India. Due to a lack of new orders, the company has not been producing LED TVs or Air Conditioners since 2015. Its parent company, Sharp Corporation of Japan, is the majority owner, holding a 75 percent stake in the company's shares. As a result of the operational halt, the company's total accumulated financial losses reached ₹14,729.05 Lakhs by March 2024.;
