NLC India Limited is an India-based company, which is engaged in the business of mining of lignite, coal, and generation of power by using lignite as well as renewable energy sources. The Company's segments include Mining and Power Generation. The Mining segment is engaged in the mining of lignite. The Power Generation segment is engaged in the generation of power and sale to power utilities across the country. Its main products include lignite mining, coal mining, thermal power generation, renewable energy generation, such as solar and wind and power trading. It has approximately four open cast lignite mines, such as Mine I, Mine II, Mine IA and Barsingsar Mine and one open cast coal mine, Talabira II and III. It has about five pithead thermal power stations with an aggregate capacity of approximately 3640 megawatts (MW). The Company's subsidiaries include NLC Tamilnadu Power Limited and Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power Limited.;
