Non-banking financial company (NBFC) Svatantra Microfin Limited has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on August 13, 2026, for its proposed initial public offering (IPO).
According to the DRHP, the ₹3,000 crore IPO comprises a fresh issue of up to ₹1,500 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of up to ₹1,500 crore by its existing shareholders.

Incorporated in 2012, Svatantra Microfin Limited is an inclusion-focused NBFC providing microfinance and secured lending products to individuals and small entrepreneurs. Its offerings include microfinance loans, affordable housing finance and loans against property through its subsidiary, Svatantra Micro Housing Finance Corporation Limited. Promoted by Ananya Birla, it was the first institution to receive the NBFC-MFI licence introduced by the RBI in 2011.
As of March 31, 2026, the company had consolidated AUM of ₹23,817.78 crore and served approximately 4.31 million borrowers through 2,253 branches across 23 states and union territories. Microfinance accounted for 88.56% of its AUM, while the company was the second-largest NBFC-MFI in India by microfinance AUM.
