Historically, markets have shown a positive sentiment during Muhurat Trading sessions, as festive optimism and strong liquidity drive the mood. However, experts advise investors to view it as a symbolic beginning, not a guaranteed return event.

The term ‘Muhurat’ means an auspicious time, believed to bring good luck and prosperity.
The BSE began this tradition in 1957, and the NSE joined in 1992, turning it into one of the most symbolic annual events for the markets.
Even though the trading window is open for just an hour, it remains one of the most awaited moments of the year. Many investors see it as a lucky time to begin their journey or make new investments. During this session, investors participate to mark the beginning of a new financial year (Samvat), seeking blessings for wealth and growth in the year ahead.
