Molbio Diagnostics Limited, founded in 2000, specialises in point-of-care (POC) diagnostic solutions, with a focus on making molecular testing faster and more affordable for infectious and non-communicable diseases. Its key product, the Truenat platform, is a portable, battery-powered PCR system developed for settings with limited resources and can provide test results in about an hour. As of March 31, 2026, the company’s portfolio covered 30 diseases through 43 assays, including tests for tuberculosis (TB), COVID-19, HIV, hepatitis B and C, and HPV.
Beyond molecular diagnostics, Molbio offers solutions across areas such as radiology, digital pathology and breast health screening through its subsidiaries and strategic partners. The Truenat technology has received patent protection in more than 100 countries. Its tuberculosis test is also among the rapid molecular diagnostic tests recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) for the initial detection of TB and rifampicin resistance.
