TECIL Chemicals and Hydro Power Limited has not conducted any manufacturing operations for the past few years, marking a significant change in its business activities. The company officially altered its objectives in February 2018 to enter the tourism and hospitality industry, pivoting towards new areas for future growth. Under its new management, the company plans to develop an industrial and recreational park on its existing land at Chingavanam in Kottayam, Kerala. This proposed park is envisioned to comprise several facilities, including a hotel, a hospital, and a shopping complex to cater to the region. However, the commencement of these new activities is currently awaiting approval from the Department of Revenue, Government of Kerala. A major positive development was the resumption of trading of the company’s shares on both the BSE and NSE from March 29, 2023.;
