Promoted by the Government of Tamil Nadu, TNPL was established to produce newsprint and writing paper using bagasse, an agricultural residue, as the primary raw material. Its core vision is to become the world's most sustainable brand for paper and paperboards by adopting state-of-the-art technology and creating an inclusive work environment. The company is also focused on becoming the number one choice for its customers by providing products at affordable prices and creating a culture of safety. Innovatively, TNPL has established a cement manufacturing factory to convert mill wastes like lime sludge and fly ash into high-grade cement, a pioneering move in India. As part of its long-term goals, the company aims to manufacture over one million tons of paper and paperboards annually by the end of 2030. Demonstrating its global presence, the company exported 88,525 MT of its paper and paperboard products to more than 60 countries during the 2023-24 fiscal year.;
