The Orissa Minerals Development Company Limited (OMDC), established in 1918, is a Government of India Enterprise operating six iron and manganese ore mining leases in Keonjhar, Odisha. The company's core vision is to become a world-class, socially responsible, and environmentally-friendly mining organization that maximizes value for all its partners and stakeholders. Its mission includes ensuring sustainable growth by promoting ecological balance and mineral conservation while maximizing returns for all stakeholders through synergy and good governance. After a period of inactivity, the company made significant progress by resuming operations, with mining activities starting at its Bagiaburu mines in December 2023. Beyond its business operations, the company is focused on corporate social responsibility in areas such as health, education, and employment generation for local communities. During the fiscal year 2023-24, the company dispatched a total of 283,339 metric tonnes of undisposed mineral stock from its Bhadrasahi and Bagiaburu mines.;
