The company was envisioned as a cornerstone of India's journey toward self-sufficiency in steel production, evolving from a concept to a fully operational entity. As a tribute to the nation's 'Ispati Irada' (steely resolve), the company is devoted to shaping a resilient and prosperous future for the Indian steel industry. It operates a 3 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) greenfield steel plant in Nagarnar, Chhattisgarh, using modern BF/BOF technology to produce high-grade hot rolled steel. Strategically located near the high-grade iron ore of Bailadila mines, the plant benefits from a steady supply of raw materials and excellent logistical connectivity. The plant, housing one of India's largest Blast Furnaces, achieved the key milestone of producing one million tonnes of HR Coils within a year of commissioning.;
