The Mysore Paper Mills Limited (MPM) is engaged in manufacturing of newsprint, writing, printing and packaging paper and manufacture of plantation white sugar. The Company operates in two segments, which include paper and sugar. The paper segment includes writing and printing paper, and newsprint. The sugar segment is engaged in manufacturing of sugar. The Company's products also include sugar and molasses, chemicals, power and fuel, and imports. The writing and printing paper varieties include cream wove, Maplitho, Azurelaid, duplicating and Kraft paper. The Company's newsprints are marketed only to registered newspaper publishers (RNI). Its chemicals include Caustic Soda Lye, Liquid Chlorine, Burnt Lime, Hydrogen Peroxide, Soap Stone Powder, Ferric Alum, Non Ferric Alum and Sodium Silicate, among others. The Company's power and fuel product category includes coal and furnace oil. It imports product category includes pulp, bearings and spare parts, and paper machine clothing.;
