Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) is a Government of India company under the Ministry of Defence, established in 1970 to manufacture advanced defence systems for the country. Its vision is to be a top global enterprise that produces high-quality defence products meeting international standards to serve the nation's security needs. A primary objective for the company is to become self-reliant and competitive in the technology and production of guided missiles and underwater weapons. The company develops and manufactures various guided missiles and related defence products using its own research and development as well as through technology transfers. BDL supplies its latest missile systems to the Indian Armed Forces and has also begun exporting its defence equipment to friendly foreign nations. As of March 31, 2024, the company holds a strong order book valued at a staggering ₹19,434 crore, indicating healthy future business.;
