  • Co-contributions are available for a five-year term. After that, the Indian Overseas Bank Atal Pension Yojana scheme would only continue, but no government co-contributions will be available.
  • The subscriber can invest in the Indian Overseas Bank APY for a term of 20 years or longer.

How Can I Apply for the Atal Pension Yojana IOB?

If they wish, all Indian Overseas Bank account holders can join the Atal Pension Yojana via automatic debit from their accounts. This would essentially cut the collection fees for contributions.

All subscribers must ensure that the required contribution amount is in the bank account from which it will be taken. Once the initial donation is made, the subscriber will be given the monthly contribution due dates. If the monthly installments are not made on time, the Government of India's contribution will be increased.

  • Step 2: You will have to locate the investments section and download the Atal Pension Yojana Form.
  • Step 3: Fill in the form with all the details and submit it with the KYC required.
  • Step 4: Once your information has been verified - you can confirm the creation of the account.
  • Step 5: In a matter of a day, your Atal Pension Yojana will be active.

Through ECS mandates, your monthly payments can be paid each month from the Indian Overseas Bank Account, or you could also pay it in other ways.
