DSP Mutual Fund started operations in May 1996. It is a part of the DSP Group, which was founded in the 1860s. This asset management company (AMC) offers an array of financial solutions for wealth creation and generation to individuals, NRIs, mid-and small-sized business owners, trusts, public and private corporations, and foreign institutions. Further, investors can also get financial advisory services from DSP. The company is spread across 20 Indian states, spanning more than 50 cities.
It was functioning as a venture between the DSP Group and Blackrock for a long time. All mutual funds of this AMC were earlier called DSP Blackrock mutual funds. However, the association between the two organisations ended in 2018 and the DSP Group bought Blackrock’s stake.
