Due to rising trade tensions between the US and China, India's stock market is likely to open cautiously on Monday, April 7. China is responding with tariffs of its own to U.S. President Donald Trump's new levies. This move has fueled the fears of investors around a full-scale global trade war and the risk that could cause a global economic slowdown. In early trade, GIFT Nifty dropped nearly 900 points below its previous close, indicating a sharp gap-down opening for Indian markets.

Key Stocks in Focus

Tata Steel said it has received an order for the reassessment of its taxable income for FY2018-19, which has been increased by ₹25,185.51 crore on account of transfer of debt waived off as part of the Bhushan Steel acquisition. The company has challenged this assessment by moving the Bombay High Court, arguing for the non-taxability of the debt waiver.

Tata Motors' Jaguar Land Rover announced in April a suspension of shipments to the US after US tariffs went into effect. Moreover, Tata Motors has announced a meeting of shareholders on Tuesday, 6th May 2025, to consider the company's proposed demerger.

The IndusInd bank posted a 1.4% year-on-year rise in net advances at ₹3.47 lakh crore and 6.8% increase in deposits at ₹4.11 lakh crore during the March 2025 quarter. 

Bajaj Housing Finance: Gross disbursements in Q4 FY25 rose on-year by 25.1% to ₹14,250 crore; Assets Under Management (AUM) grew 26% to ₹1.14 lakh crore. 

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders: The Government of India opted to exercise its oversubscription option to sell an additional 1.18% stake in the company's OFS of 2.83%(initially planned one) stake sale. Today, the retail investors might bid for the OFS.

FSN E-Commerce Ventures (Nykaa) seeks a consolidated net revenue upward growth in the low to mid-twenties year-on-year for Q4 FY25. The company has guided for similar revenue growth for full financial year FY25. 

Delhivery buys Ecom Express Ltd for about ₹1,400 crore cash to step up logistics biz Separately. 

Zomatoannounced the resignation of Rinshul Chandra, Chief Operating Officer of its Food Delivery business, effective April 5. 

Swiggy has received an assessment order for ₹7.59 crore related to the deduction of profession tax.

One97 Communications (Paytm) continues to reaffirm its target of turning profitable in the final quarter of FY25.

ITC acquired a further 9% stake in Ample Foods for ₹131 crore, taking the company's holding in the latter to 43.75%. 

Biocon: The board of Biocon has approved the raising of up to ₹600 crore through commercial papers on a private placement basis. 

Godrej Properties has signed a development agreement for a parcel of land in Versova, Mumbai with a potential revenue of ₹1,350 crore. 

AstraZeneca Pharma India has got approval from the regulator to import Osimertinib tablets. 

Trent: Standalone revenue for Trent Ltd for the March quarter was up 28.2%. 

IIFL Finance to raise up to ₹500 c through public issue of secured NCDs
