SBI Funds Management Limited, the investment manager of SBI Mutual Fund, is reportedly preparing to launch its initial public offering (IPO) in July 2026. According to media reports, the IPO is likely to open for subscription on July 14, 2026, with the issue size estimated at around ₹13,500 crore.

If launched, the IPO could become one of the largest public offerings by an asset management company (AMC) in India. The company is expected to announce key details of the issue on July 9, 2026, including the IPO timeline and other related information. Until the official announcement, details such as the issue size and opening date remain subject to confirmation.

SBI and Amundi to Divest Stake Through OFS

The proposed IPO comprises an Offer for Sale (OFS) of up to 20.37 crore equity shares by the existing shareholders of SBI Funds Management. Under the offer, State Bank of India (SBI) will sell up to 12.83 crore equity shares, while Amundi India Holding will divest up to 7.53 crore equity shares. Since the issue does not include a fresh issue component, SBI Funds Management will not receive any proceeds from the IPO. Instead, the proceeds from the share sale will go entirely to the existing shareholders participating in the OFS.
