Am I legally allowed to invest in foreign markets?

Yes, Indian investors can invest in foreign markets under the RBI’s LRS (Liberalized Remittance Scheme),

Following are the rules and conditions:
  • You should be 18 years or above
  • You should have valid Indian PAN card, Aadhar card and Savings Bank Account
  • You can transfer up to a limit of $250,000 per financial year in the foreign market under the LRS scheme
