What is the expiry date? When is the expiry date for indexes? 

The expiry date is when derivative contracts, like futures and options, conclude and settle. Indexes like Nifty, Bank Nifty, and Nifty FinNifty have specific expiry days:

NIFTY 50: Thursday
BANKNIFTY: Wednesday for the weekly contracts, Thursday for the monthly contracts 
FINIFTY: Tuesday
MIDCAP NIFTY: Monday
