Why do I have to use TPIN to sell my Stocks?

To sell your stocks, you need a TPIN along with an OTP as part of the security process. This was introduced by CDSL on 18th February, 2021, to ensure stock sales are secure and authorized. The TPIN acts like a digital signature, verifying your ownership.

Each TPIN verification is valid for one day. If you want to sell stocks on a different day, you must re-enter your TPIN.

If you need a new TPIN, you can generate it by clicking the 'CHANGE MY TPIN' button. You will need your PAN card number and BOID (16-digit identifier) from the 'Account Details' section under 'Profile.'
