If I place a stock order after the markets are closed, what price will I get?

If you place an order after the markets (AMO) are closed, it will be processed on the next trading day. Here is how the price is determined:
  • Market Order: The order will execute at the opening price of the stock when the market opens. The final execution price may differ from the price displayed when placing the order due to fluctuations in demand and supply.
  • Limit Order: Your limit order will be queued and only executed if the stock reaches your specified price or better on the next trading day. If the stock does not meet your limit price, the order will remain unexecuted and cancel automatically by the end of the trading session.
