Are DP charges per stock or per order?

DP charges are fees set by the depository (CDSL). They're calculated per stock, per trading day, and are only charged when a stock is debited from your demat account.

If you sell the same stock multiple times in one day, you only pay the DP charge once. But for different stocks, DP charges apply separately.

The DP charge is:
  • ₹21.83 per stock for most users
  • ₹21.54 per stock for women
(This includes charges from the depository, Groww, and 18% GST.)

For example, if you sell TATA Motors shares multiple times in one day, you only pay the DP charge once.
