What will happen to my HDFC Ltd shares post-merger?

Post-merger, for every 1 HDFC share, shareholders will receive 1.68 HDFC Bank shares. Please note that fractional shares won't be issued. Instead, for each HDFC share, shareholders will receive 1 HDFC Bank share and a cash benefit equivalent to 0.68 shares, based on the company's determined price.

For instance, if a shareholder holds 15 HDFC shares on July 13, they'll be eligible to receive 25.2 HDFC Bank shares. In this case, the investor will likely receive 25 HDFC Bank shares, with the remaining 0.2 shares being provided as a cash benefit.

You will receive the shares of HDFC Bank by July 17. We will notify you if there is any change in the timelines.

On Groww, you can visit the 'Merger' section within the share's Holdings details to determine precisely how many shares you'll receive based on your current holdings
