What does converting positions mean?

Converting positions refers to changing the type of an order. It involves converting an intraday position into a delivery position, and vice versa.

Types of Conversions:
  1. Intraday to Delivery:
    • You can convert an intraday position (MIS) to a delivery position (CNC) if you wish to hold the shares in your Demat account.
    • You need to pay the full amount for the stock, and the position will be treated as a delivery trade.
  2. Delivery to Intraday:
    • You can convert a delivery position (CNC) to an intraday position (MIS).
    • You can only convert delivery positions that you have taken today
