Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is an instant real-time payment system developed by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). It is used on mobile devices to instantly transfer funds between two bank accounts.
UPI is fully interoperable and is authorised by RBI.
Here are some important points to note regarding using UPI safely :
1. UPI PIN is used for authentication of a payment. Money will always get deducted if you use UPI PIN
2. Never share UPI PIN, CVV & OTP with anyone
3. UPI PIN will always be used only on app's UPI PIN page
