Tata Motors share prices touched 588.85 by closing, around 0.39% than the opening price of 591.20. What makes it interesting is that closing prices yesterday were significantly more than the opening price, while today’s opening price was also higher than yesterday’s closing price by 1.73%. Even at midday, the share prices were at 592.60, growing by 0.23% above the opening

8th April, 2025 / 12:30 PM

Tata Motors share prices were trading at 592.60 by midday, indicating 0.23% of growth above the opening price of 591.20. This comes after the stock opened 1.73% higher than yesterday’s closing prices and also after the surge of 3.67% at closing yesterday (from the opening price on 7th April). The highest peak came early in trading at 601.07, while the lowest threshold stood at 585.39 thereafter.

It remains to be seen how flat FY25 volumes at company-owned JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) impact the stock prices going forward, along with reports of pausing U.S. shipments after the imposition of reciprocal tariffs by President Donald Trump.

8th April, 2025 / 9:30 AM

Tata Motors share prices have been a study in contrasts, since they opened at 560.50 yesterday (7th April), in a massive drop of 8.87% from the 4th April closing price of 615.10. However, the stock recovered to 563.65 by midday, before closing at 581.10, which was 3.67% higher than the opening figures. Today (8th April), the share prices have opened at 591.20, which is around 1.73% higher than yesterday’s closing price. This marks an interesting pattern since the stock clearly seems to have got a positive tailwind despite an initial impact yesterday of JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) halting U.S. shipments due to the reciprocal tariffs announced by President Donald Trump.

Has it brushed aside these issues and are investors betting on the company’s future prospects after it claimed the second spot in the Indian car market for March? The answer could be somewhat clearer by midday.
