IRFC share prices have closed at ₹124.41 today, which is 1.65% lower than the opening price of ₹126.50 for the day. This comes after the latter surpassed yesterday’s closing prices by 2.57% at the start of the day, and the latter was also higher than the 7th April opening price by a sizable margin. At midday, however, the prices fell to ₹124.84, which was slightly lower than the opening price (by 1.31%), with a slump to ₹123.25 and a moderate peak at ₹126.08 in between.
IRFC has been in focus after news of its second interim dividend declaration and also updates on its growing loan book. Let us see how the stock performs tomorrow, considering today’s developments and its ₹5,000 crore loan to NTPC Renewable Energy.
IRFC share prices were trading at ₹124.84 by midday, marking a slump of 1.31% from the opening price of ₹126.50 today (8th April). The stock is now moving in an opposite direction as compared to when it opened higher than yesterday’s closing price by 2.57% after closing 9.14% more than the opening price on 7th April.
The lowest point today was ₹123.25 and this came as a major slump after an initial peak at ₹126.08 that followed a slight drop. It remains to be seen how midday figures play out by the closing, considering broader market fluctuations and mixed sentiments of investors coming to the fore regarding the stock.
IRFC share prices opened today at ₹126.50, which is 2.57% more than yesterday’s (7th April) closing price of ₹123.33. This continues the positive momentum that was seen after the stock shockingly opened 10.09% yesterday at ₹113 and then recovered gradually to ₹119.65 by midday and finally touched the closing figure, which was 9.14% higher than the opening numbers. News of the second interim dividend announcement may have pulled the stock through, although mixed performance indicators may broadly affect performance going forward.
It remains to be seen whether IRFC can keep the momentum going by midday, especially since it opened above the closing price after two straight days of the reverse, i.e. opening lower than the closing figures.
